Christian Coaching

The world we know today is one that exists for one's self. Everyone wants to be on top. Everyone is looking for what will bring them happiness. This often causes people to look in the wrong places. They seek acceptance and pleasure with the wrong friends and the wrong activities. The media portrays as glamorous that which is really self destructive and leads to unhappiness.


For those who have travelled the road of experiences or took the time to appreciate their situations, it is not too late to consider some other avenues to redeem what seems lost. There are many ways that we can take a look at who we are and find within ourselves the potential to be something great, without just following the crowd.

In most cases, it is not easy to begin on this self reflective journey. Some may recognize that they need a religious grounding in their lives. They believe that the things they have learned in their churches has power to change and help them through their lives. Still it is sometimes very hard to know where to begin and how to make those important changes. This is where a Christian coach can be of major benefit.

Christian coaching happens when a coach meets one to one or one to a group to talk to them and discuss with them about how a Christian life can make a difference to them and what changes they need to make to experience the life for themselves. A Christian coach is someone who has a good understanding of the Christian gospel and truly believes that it can change others, and feels called upon to share this with them.

Christian coaching, is in some sense similar to some types of life coaching where the goal is for the coach to come alongside to help the client to understand themselves, understand what it is that they are searching for in life, and form goals to journey toward achieving that better life. The Christian element means that the Bible is used as a primary source of information and comfort for the client. All that is taught by the coach is in alignment with Christian values and principles.

Christian coaching in most cases would turn out to be a mutually wonderful experience for both coach and client. Because of the spiritual nature of the coaching, there is room for a lot of learning and growth. When a coach is able to help make that happen, it is like a miracle.

Although most Christians can seek out their church community for support, learning and growing, finding one-on-one time between a spiritual leader and an individual can be quite limited. By looking into Christian coaching and finding a really good coach, you can have the intensive help of a Christian who knows how to help guide you to finding a Christ centered life that will lead to true happiness and blessed living.
